The Seychelles more connected to Italy for Summer 2026
The Indian Ocean archipelago is therefore strengthening its positioning among the most sought-after long-haul leisure destinations, thanks to a broader and more flexible flight offering designed to meet the growing demand from the Italian market.
The expansion particularly concerns routes via international hubs, allowing travellers to reach Mahé with greater frequency and continuity throughout the season. Among the available options are the connections operated by Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa, with daily flights from Milan and Rome to the capital of the archipelago. In the Middle Eastern segment, Etihad Airways together with Air Seychelles is strengthening connections via Abu Dhabi with four weekly frequencies from Milan and Rome, set to become daily from 15 June, thus increasing the overall capacity to the destination.
The role of Emirates remains stable and strategic, maintaining daily flights via Dubai from Milan, Rome, Venice and Bologna, ensuring wide coverage of the Italian territory and direct access to the main international gateways to the Indian Ocean. Turkish Airlines is also expanding the availability of connections via Istanbul, with three weekly frequencies active from 17 June and departures from several Italian airports including Turin, Naples, Bologna, Venice, Palermo and Catania. At the same time, Qatar Airways is reactivating its connections via Doha from 16 June with four weekly flights from Milan and Rome.
Completing the picture are the direct connections operated by Air Seychelles from European hubs, particularly Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Istanbul, with seasonal frequencies varying between May and August, further diversifying the travel options available.
The strengthening of the air network responds to steadily growing demand for the islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, which represent the heart of the archipelago’s tourism offering. The Seychelles continue to establish themselves as a versatile destination, capable of attracting both the luxury segment and experiential tourism, thanks to a product that combines sea, unspoiled nature and outdoor activities.
Greater accessibility from Italy represents a key element for the 2026 season, making travel planning easier and expanding the range of options for different types of travellers. An evolution that further strengthens the destination’s competitiveness in the European long-haul market.
